About me
Hi, my name is Sibylle Bechtel

Sibylle Bechtel wuchs auf als älteste von 3 Schwestern nähe Basel auf. Mit 7 entdeckte sie das Klavier zu Hause, über 20 Jahre privater Unterricht folgen (später auch Gitarre und Querflöte). Vor dem Studium zur Musik- und Bewegungslehrerin arbeitete sie in allen möglichen Berufen, so als Pizzakurier, Anwaltssekretärin, Migration Computer für eine grosse Pharma Firma, und mehr.​

Sibylle Bechtel grew up as the eldest of 3 sisters in a village near Basel. At the age of 7 she discovered the piano at home, followed by more than 20 years of private lessons (later also guitar and flute). Before studying music and teaching movement, she worked in all sorts of jobs, such as a blood and pizza courier, legal secretary, migration computer for a large pharmaceutical company, kitchen help, and more.
She sees life as a playground where you can try yourself, get to know yourself better and grow.

After studying at the ZHDK-Musikerin MH- she married and worked with children in special offers in Basel as a music and English teacher for over 18 years. Divorce, builds up the school choir and is involved in projects, various further training courses, and always travels a lot during the holidays, especially in Asia.
​
With 41 sabbatical in Thailand and then moving there, her heart country. To find out what it's like to live there and not just be a visitor. Lives for 2 years in the south of Trang, plays and travels a lot with the musicians there, and later moves to a small village in the north. Has a house there with 25 chickens, 3 horses and 5 buffaloes. Learn the language and customs and dance at festivals and funerals.
As an expat who lives entirely with the Thais, she deals a lot with the topics of being together, tribe, who am I when the others are different, and similarities in being different. It will become her life project.

At the same time, she uses the time to educate herself and regularly attends courses on the topics of personality development, (T)space finding and business development/self-employment.
​
Now she is back in Switzerland and ready to go out with her colorful projects. With stories, music, movement and more.
​
